Most strategy decks fail in the same place. The goals are ambitious, the slides are tidy, and the list of priorities is still too long. When everything is important, the team waits for someone else to choose.
A useful plan names the work you will not take on this quarter. That is not a lack of ambition. It is how leadership teams protect the few moves that actually change the business.
Start with the decision on your desk, not a blank framework. What would have to be true for this quarter to count as a win? Cut anything that does not serve that answer. Then give the remaining work an owner and a date.
